Description

In 597 BCE, the minuscule territory of Judah in the good countries of Canaan broke its vassalage treaty with Nebuchadnezzar, leader of the incredible Babylonian domain. It was a catastrophic botch. A quarter of a year later, the Babylonian armed force besieged Jerusalem, Judah’s capital. The youthful ruler gave up quickly and was deported to Babylonia, along with approximately ten thousand of the residents who made the state reasonable: ministers, military pioneers, skilled workers, and metal laborers. They left Jerusalem, the outcasts would have taken one final glance at the sanctuary built on Mount Zion by King Solomon (c.970–930 be), the focal point of their national and profound life, unfortunately, mindful that more than likely they could never observe it again. Their fears were acknowledged: in 586, after one more defiance in Judah, Nebuchadnezzar decimated Jerusalem and consumed Solomon’s sanctuary to the ground. The ousts were not abused in Babylon.
