The First Amendment to the United States Constitution in the Bill of rights states: ”Congress will make no law regarding an establishment of religion, or precluding the free exercise thereof, or condensing the freedom of discourse, or of the press, or the privilege of the individuals peaceably to gather, and to request of the Government for a change of grievances.”1In the last part of the 1950s, professional comedian Lenny Bruce started his ascent to stardom. A splendidly sharp comic, Bruce discussed social issues of the generation and the world through his eyes. In any case, in contrast to a significant number of his peers, he was not bashful about utilizing vulgarities in his parody demonstration.
