Book Name: Good Vibes, Good Life
Writer: Vex King
For a long time of my youth, I had no fixed home. My family and I lived
with family members and, for brief periods during this time, in a lodging cover. I was
appreciative that we had a rooftop over our heads, however I recollect how terrifying the
lodging cover experience was.
There were consistently undesirable looking characters prowling around the passageway
who might toss us penetrating gazes when we entered the structure. Being a fouryear-old kid, I felt terrified. Yet, my mom consoled me that things would be
alright. She said that we should simply look down and go directly to our room.
One night we jumped out, and when we returned there was blood everywhere throughout the
flight of stairs and on the dividers in the hallway. Pieces of glass secured the floor.
My sisters and I had never observed anything so awful. We gazed toward our
mum. I detected dread in her. Be that as it may, once more, with fortitude, she instructed us to proceed cautiously
over the glass and get up to our room.
Still shaken by what we’d seen, my sisters and I attempted to work out what may have
happened down the stairs in the passage of the safe house. At that point we heard shouts and
yelling, trailed by hints of confusion. It was frightening. Again, we looked
to Mum for comfort. She pulled us right up front and instructed us not to stress – yet I could
hear her heart beating. She was similarly as frightened.
