Some began after him, however not with much heart, for each dreaded to endure the passing of his individual; so by and by they all came and lifted the dead man up and bore him away to Nottingham Town.

In the interim Robin Hood went through the greenwood. Gone was all the delight and splendor from everything, for his heart was wiped out inside him, and it was borne in upon his spirit that he had killed a man.
