Description

The account of Barnabas Barty, child of John Barty, previous victor fighter of England and proprietor of a bar in Kent. Toward the beginning of the story Barnabas comes into ownership of an immense fortune and decides to turn into a noble man. His dad objects, they fight, and settle their disparities in a series of fisticuffs which Barnabas wins true to form, whereupon Barnabas embarks for London to make his place in the public arena – and find sentiment!
