His body had truly ventured into an incredible figure of such physical force and magnificence as we had not envisioned could exist! He was numerous inches taller and more extensive, his skin an unmistakable pink, each appendage and muscle shaped like by some ace artist.

The best change, however, was in his face. Pollard’s plain, agreeable highlights were gone, supplanted by a face whose impeccably cut highlights held the stamp of monstrous scholarly force that shone overpoweringly from the dear dim eyes. It was not Pollard who remained before us, I let myself know, however a being as far above us as the most developed man of today is over the shut-in!
