War – antagonistic vibe communicated by the plan of action to equipped clash by more or less organized collections of warriors – has been with us from time immemorial. It accentuates, even recognizes, mankind’s history and contributes significantly to how individuals consider themselves well as how they feel about others. In any case, if strife is a steady element, the conditions in which wars are battled, just as their causes, have changed over time: wars between city-states were especially extraordinary to those waged between countries; battling with the longbow can hardly be compared with troopers furnished with the Maxim weapon; while tank fights are vastly different from those battled from the skies. In Part I of this book we dwell on the forms and states of later transformations.
