Constant and religion. Indeed, even as history, the current volume doesn’t
embark to manage each part of Constant’s scholarly exercises or with his a
lot of distributions as did Kurt Klocke in his Benjamin Constant: Une
biographie intellectuelle (1984). Its motivation is increasingly unobtrusive:
to furnish the English-talking peruser with a brief and genuine record of a
significant authentic and scholarly figure, a record that incorporates the
discoveries of the latest exploration, some of it my own. To this end, I have
made an interpretation of all citations into English, while additionally
giving the content in the first language where the wording is of specific
significance.
