Paradise Lost by John Milton

Book Name: Paradise Lost

Writer: John Milton

Heaven Lost is an epic sonnet in clear section by the seventeenth century English writer John Milton. It was initially distributed in 1667 of every ten books. A subsequent release followed in 1674, redivided into twelve books (in the way of the division of Virgil’s Aeneid) with minor corrections all through and a note on the versification. The sonnet concerns the Christian story of the Fall of Man: the enticement of Adam and Eve by the fallen heavenly attendant Satan and their ejection from the Garden of Eden. Milton’s motivation, expressed in Book I, is to “legitimize the methods of God to men” and explain the contention between God’s everlasting foreknowledge and unrestrained choice.

Milton fuses Paganism, traditional Greek references, and Christianity inside

the sonnet. It manages differing themes from marriage, legislative issues

(Milton was politically dynamic during the hour of the English Civil War), and government, and wrestles with numerous troublesome philosophical issues, including destiny, fate, the Trinity, and the presentation of transgression and demise into the world, just as blessed messengers, fallen holy messengers, Satan, and the war in paradise.
