The book is told in a continuous flow composing style by 15 unique storytellers in 59 sections. It is the tale of the demise of Addie Bundren and her family’s journey—respectable or narrow-minded—to respect her desire to be covered in the town of Jefferson. The epic was written in about a month and a half while Faulkner was working at a force plant, distributed in 1930, and depicted by Faulkner as a “visit depower”.
