He lifted his glass and frowned at me as though I were the blameworthy party. “She’s a downer,” he proceeded. “A depressed person, a hypochondriac, a dreamer, and a socialist.” He considered the roof insightfully. “Furthermore, some of the time I believe she’s somewhat insane.”
I attempted to quiet him, “Don’t stress over it. On the off chance that things deteriorate, get a separation.”
