Throughout a late spring excursion at Yellowstone National Park after the finishing of my minor fields in Ancient History and before the beginning of my significant field in Medieval History for a doctorate from the University of California, I spent the nighttimes perusing the exemplary work of Edward Gibbon, The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire and got interested with the individual and tradition of the principal Christian head of the late Roman world, Constantine the Great (AD 306–37).
