Description

Marcel Proust was conceived in the Parisian suburb of

Auteuil on July 10, 1871. His dad, Adrien Proust, was a

specialist celebrated for his work in the study of disease transmission; his

mother, Jeanne Weil, was a stockbroker’s little girl of

Jewish drop. He lived as a youngster in the family home on

Lane Malesherbes in Paris, however went through get-aways with

his auntie and uncle in the town of Illiers close to Chartres,

where the Prousts had lived for ages and which

turned into the model for the Combray of his incredible novel.
