Legend had it, that a huge number of years back, just after the Great Horror, the entire mainland of the west had gradually sunk underneath the West Water, and that once consistently it emerged during a full moon. All things considered, Captain Hinrik clung to the expectation that the legend would not be borne out by truth. Maybe the west landmass actually existed; maybe, might he venture to trust, with human progress.
