The greater part of the anecdotes about Mary known to us from love in

churches or visits to exhibition halls was made in the many years following

the life of Jesus. In any case, few were told in the accounts. Those renditions

of Jesus’ life that turned into the accounts of Mark, Matthew, Luke, and John

give only scant insight concerning the life of Mary.
