Oliver Cromwell Biography

Description

The author and biographer John Buchan, Lord Tweedsmuir, felt that Oliver had underplayed his causes. Cromwell once said ‘I was by birth a nobleman, living neither in any extensive tallness nor yet in haziness’. Buchan recommended that he may ‘have put the case higher’, as a result of his family’s unmistakable quality in the district.
