To compose a novel established in truth, a creator must take certain freedoms. I did

that with One Tuesday Morning. Certain occasions—for example the memorial service of the

anonymous probational fireman definite right off the bat in the book—were changed for

the reason for the story line. Actually fireman Michael Gorumba, twentyseven, endured a coronary failure and was recalled on September 1, 2001, at a

St. Charles Catholic Church administration in Staten Island, not on September 2, in

Manhattan as my novel portrays. Other such changes to genuine occasions happen in a

minor sense as it were.
