Strange Histories

Description

This is definitely not a regular history book. I have not composed a record of the social and political improvements of the late medieval and Renaissance ages. Rather, I have attempted to reproduce the considering people who accepted as ordinary thoughts that currently appear to be silly: the presence of witches and roaming dead bodies, preliminary by trial, the death penalty of creatures, and much else besides. I have additionally endeavored to resuscitate moral contentions that presently show up tobe detestable: that God some of the time needs individuals to endure on earth, and that killing blasphemers is important and just. These thoughts are, by their very nature, shocking to current readers. This is correctly why they are incorporated here.
