Frederik George Pohl, Jr. was an American sci-fi essayist, supervisor and fan, with a profession crossing more than seventy years. From around 1959 until 1969, Pohl altered Galaxy magazine and its sister magazine IF winning the Hugo for IF three years straight. His composing likewise won him three Hugos and numerous Nebula Awards. He turned into a Nebula Grand Master in 1993.
