The Banker and the Bear

In spite of the fact that Chicago isn’t referenced in the book as the location of activity, the Chamber of Commerce of that city is the point round which the activity habitats. The Bear and the Banker are mates. The Bull is financed by the Banker in the undertaking to run the “corner” in grease, and the story gets its title from the need found by the Bear for the destruction of his pal the Banker, so as to agitate the monetary plans of the Bull. A blending romantic tale clears a path through the budgetary energy of the book.
