You couldn’t react, so I stated, “That is the legend. In any case, there are no swamp beasts. Do you see a lowland beast here?”

“No,” you stated, glancing around.

“Neither do I. Perhaps there’s actually nothing to fear here…?”

You didn’t reply, however after a couple of seconds you jumped on the bundles of your feet, ran ahead and halted at a curve in the path to hang tight for me. Ooops, I figured, this didn’t go right. I made plans to rehash it until you became so ill of the thought that you’d lose any response to it.
