Timur (or Tamerlane) is popular as the fourteenth-century winner of a lot of Central Eurasia and the originator of the Timurid tradition. His notoriety lived on in his local terrains and returned somewhere in the range of three centuries after his demise as anecdotal biographies, created namelessly in Persian and Turkic.
