Stonehenge A Novel of 2000 BC By ROSEMARY HILL

Book Name: Stonehenge A Novel of 2000 BC

Writer: ROSEMARY HILL

What we currently call Stonehenge remains on Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire

at Latitude 51 ̊ 11′ North, Grid Reference SU 122421 on the Ordnance Survey.

Its site today is a triangle of 46.9 sections of land limited on different sides

by streets, the A303 and A344, and on the third by the Larkhill Track. It is

claimed by the state and directed by English Heritage, an administration

financed office. Now we come, nearly, to the furthest limit of the

uncontested realities. This most noteworthy of all British stone circles has

been, for a long time, a ruin, however destruction of what precisely no one

knows. To manage the huge writing on Stonehenge is somewhat similar to

taking a gander at it on a satellite photograph chart. At first, the subject is

too removed to ever be made out. At that point, as the magnification

expands, everything comes briefly into the center, prior to dissolving again

abruptly of detail and question.
